A wink to the past.
The vintage origins of Wall Street Suites begins in the 1950’s with the Plaza Motel—a favorite spot for out-of-towners looking to rest and relax after a long day of skiing, motorcycling, and socializing. Many Bend residents today recall staying at The Plaza Motel as kids before moving to Bend as adults, and memories of the popular Bend motel range from humorous to warm-hearted with a common thread of adventure.
The revival.
Following several changes of hand and years of growth and recession, the formerly bustling Plaza Motel was in need of major repair by 2007. Seeing a diamond in the rough and looking to add to the community our family has called home for decades, we bought the 1.5-acre riverfront property in 2012, gutted and rebuilt the nostalgic Bend hotel inside and out, and have been welcoming guests ever since.
The Vibe.
Keeping its historical and beloved motel motif, we renovated and transformed the rundown property into Wall Street Suites—a boutique, luxury hotel on the Deschutes with easy access to downtown. While the process was quite an undertaking, getting to put personal touches into each suite using barnwood and stones collected from our family farm in Tumalo, and watching the space come back to life, made all the hard work worth it.
Women-led + 100% Local.
More than half a century after the Plaza Motel was built, guests are still reveling on the former motel’s riverfront property now known as Wall Street Suites. Family-owned, women-led, and 100% local, our small collection of handcrafted studio suites in Downtown Bend is as unique as they come.
We are proud to see how it has evolved. It has turned into a labor of love, and we have enjoyed the challenge of transforming it into a place of life and fun. We look forward to having pride of ownership for years to come through offering personal touches and services other local accommodations can’t provide.

The Wall Street Suites are top of the line. They are owned and run by women and it shows! I felt like I was in a high class cabin not a motel. The decor was beautiful! The kitchen was so well stocked. I can’t say enough! I wish I would have known it was going to be so amazing, I would have stayed in Bend longer!
